Giant Horsetail

Horsetails are an invasive weed. These giant horsetails grow naturally by the pond and make an interesting display in summer, growing to over 1 metre in height.

The stems are approximately 1 cm across and hollow. At regular intervals up the stem are sheaths from which sprout over 20 drooping, green branches.
